A Daily Self Love Practice You Haven't Tried Yet.

February 13 is International Self Love Day, February 14 is my mom’s birth date, my late mother in law’s death date and Valentine’s Day.

So I recognize and experience how these hallmark holidays, meant to leave us feeling loved and tended to, can actually leave many feeling hurt, unfulfilled and grieving.

In honor of those of you feeling that & our strong willed mothers who are now only with us in spirit, I write to share some tools to help you see the tough stuff, is the sacred stuff.

Every year this day comes around and energetically it hits me before I even realize how I’m feeling. Energy is everything. It’s what you’re made of, it’s the current your tone of voice gives off, it’s in this computer as I write this.

So the first dose of love I want you to give yourself is an energy check-in. Are you energized? Are you feeling down? Are you tired? Are you calm? Are you anxious? Being an objective observer in this practice allows us to be open up to the next best thing for ourselves instead of drowning in what we “should” be feeling or pushing away the discomfort.

The Emotional Guidance Scale

Next up is a tool I share with many of my clients. This is the emotional guidance scale from abraham hicks. It shows us

1. How everything we feel can be measured by frequency &

2. The goal isn’t to live in joy and passion every single moment of your life, but to give yourself credit for the baby steps to feeling better. Example being… moving from anger to disappointment is actually an improvement in feeling and mental well being.

In this simple practice day in and day out, we are creating awareness which leads to action. When we practice being in tune with how we feel, we give ourselves the opportunity to receive the wisdom of our soul and what we truly need. Feeling feelings is self love. And when we practice this so well, we can come back into alignment much quicker and experience peak states more fully and for longer periods of time. It’s the way to mental and emotional freedom and generational change and we aren’t relying on anyone else to get us there.

If you’re feeling off today, that’s ok. Honor yourself and give yourself this check in. Then open this free guide that includes a 15 minute audio training, a 90 second practice every person needs to know and a real time video of me feeling through the tough stuff.

These tough times give us the opportunity to know ourselves deeper and when we connect with those pieces of ourselves, we connect deeper to source, deeper to our people and deeper to our freedom.

Bonus tool: When you or someone you know has acted out of alignment, practice this mantra “I forgive this and choose again”. Forgiveness is not deeming the action appropriate or acceptable, instead it is freeing you from being effected by it. Redirecting your focus can help you choose a new empowering thought. Give it a try, what do you have to lose?
