Why EFT is imperative for every woman and family in 2022
It’s been two years, if you’re reading this, you’ve survived a global pandemic and you’re likely leading yourself (& your family) to the most intentional life yet.
When I reflected on the year 2020, which was already one of the biggest struggles I faced before they announced the pandemic, the thing I was most grateful for was my tapping practice.
It got me through and continues to get my through each and every day. It’s a massively impactful tool I have access to any time anywhere. To help me shift my attitude, see a new perspective, keep my anxiety in check, process my anger and boost my confidence. Which is why I became a Board Certified Master Practitioner in EFT, Clinical Hypnosis, TIME Techniques and Life & Success Coaching so I can help others experience these life changing and transformative tools.
What is it?
EFT, also known as, The Emotional Freedom Technique is a scientifically well-documented method that involves applying pressure on specific points of the body. It’s a combination of positive psychology, neuroscience and ancient Chinese acupressure techniques invented by Gary Craig that has been proven to reduce stress in the body and is often used as a supportive measure in treating anxiety, depression, physical pain, insomnia, immune issues, addiction and even PTSD.
This is why I believe and am so passionate about every single human being knowing and embodying this practice in their every day life. It’s simple, easy and profound. You, your nervous system and your family need this tool now, more than ever.
How do we do it?
To do EFT tapping, you use your fingertips to gently tap on these points while focusing on the issues you want to resolve and saying phrases out loud.
Here are the tapping point we use throughout a session:
EFT Tapping Points
( Karate chop - side of hand)
(Crown of head)
(Inner eyebrow)
(Side of eye)
(Under eye)
(Under nose)
(Chin)
(Collar bone)
(Under arm)
Identify Most Pressing Issue - stress, worthiness, anger, frustration, fear, anxiety, etc.
Rate it on a scale from 1 - 10
Begin with 3 set up statements such as “Even though I feel ______, I deeply love and accept myself”
Tap 3-5 x on the negativity - addressing your feelings, why they exist, how they feel in your body and what this all means for you until you feel even the slightest shift.
Tap 2-3 x on the positivity coming into your more empowered mindset, now that the energy has had a chance to move.
Rate MPI again on a scale from 1-10: Less than a 3 is a great place to end. 0 is best. If you need to continue tapping or performing some breath work to lower the number, you can or notice if there is a new most pressing issue that has come about to tap on.
Tapping can change our whole composure in just minutes. Trust yourself to get exactly what you need.
You can’t do it wrong! Even just tapping on the points thinking about your issues, without even saying anything can bring relief.
